Project Overview
The Challenge
Coverz is a mobile platform where musicians can discover songs, create cover versions, publish their work and manage earnings in one place.
I worked across the end-to-end product experience, including onboarding, music discovery, creator profiles, publishing and wallet flows. The challenge was bringing creative and financial workflows together without making the product feel complicated.
My Music
THE PROBLEM
Artists needed one place to manage their cover versions across different stages, from works in progress to published releases.
THE DECISION
I organised My Music around clear statuses and actions so artists could quickly understand what they had created, what still needed attention and what was already live.
THE OUTCOME
Artists get a clearer view of their catalogue and the next action required for each cover.

Wallet & Analytics
THE PROBLEM
Earnings and performance information can quickly become difficult to understand, especially when financial data and content activity live in the same product.
THE DECISION
I separated the most important information into a clear hierarchy, starting with balance and earnings before moving into more detailed performance data.
THE OUTCOME
Artists can check their financial position quickly and explore more detail when they need it.

Search & Discovery
THE PROBLEM
Finding a song to cover is both a search task and a creative decision. Artists may arrive knowing exactly what they want, or simply looking for inspiration.
THE DECISION
I combined direct search with browsing and discovery patterns, giving artists multiple ways to move from an idea to a potential song.
THE OUTCOME
Discovery supports both focused searches and more exploratory browsing.

Onboarding
THE PROBLEM
New users needed to understand what Coverz offered without being asked to process too much information before reaching the product.
THE DECISION
I kept onboarding short and visual, introducing the core idea of the platform before moving users into the main experience.
THE OUTCOME
The onboarding establishes the product quickly and gives users a clear route into their first interaction.

Upload & Publish
THE PROBLEM
Publishing a cover involves several pieces of information and licensing-related steps. Presenting everything at once would make the process feel heavier than necessary.
THE DECISION
I structured publishing as a guided flow, separating information into manageable steps and making progress and required actions clear throughout the process.
THE OUTCOME
Artists can move from an uploaded recording to a publish-ready cover through a more structured workflow.

Content Creator Profiles
THE PROBLEM
Creator profiles needed to work as both an identity within the platform and a place to discover an artist's published work.
THE DECISION
I combined creator information with their music and activity, keeping the artist identity prominent while making their content easy to browse.
THE OUTCOME
Profiles give each creator a recognisable presence while also acting as a useful entry point to their work.

Key Outcomes
Artists can manage covers from creation through publishing in one connected experience.
END-TO-END CREATOR FLOW
Music discovery, creator profiles and publishing work as parts of the same product.
CONNECTED PRODUCT EXPERIENCE
Earnings and performance information have a clear place alongside creative tools.
